During the event, students introduced their (schools, NGO), cities, and countries and participated in icebreaker activities by forming international mixed student teams. A seminar on "How to Organize an Environmental Awareness Campaign" guided them in preparing a street-based campaign. The students worked together in mixed teams to design posters promoting awareness of the "International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste," "World Vegetarian Day," and "World Food Day." These posters were featured in an informative street campaign at Bulvar AVM, to raise awareness about these topics to the public. Following the campaign, the students enjoyed a city tour.

On October 2nd, 2024, participants of the Activity ‘Project Framework’ of the Erasmus+ project "Mediterranean Diet for Overall Health" (MedDiet4Health) had the opportunity to visit Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) in Samsun for a day full of learning activities. Dr. Muhammed KÖK from the Department of Foreign Language Education led an insightful seminar on Media Literacy in relation to the Mediterranean Diet. The workshops "Can You Separate Fact from Fiction?" and "The Reliability of Social Media" challenged everyone to think critically about the information we encounter online. The teachers also had the opportunity to observe a professor during a lecture on classroom management as part of the exchange of best practices.
After some free time on the OMÜ campus, where there was also an Agricultural University, the day wrapped up with a wonderful dive into Turkish artwork and culture at the Olgunlasma VET School. The day ended with a memorable visit to the Olgunlaşma Vocational Education and Training (VET) School, where we explored the richness of Turkish artwork and culture through the work of women artisans who create handmade art and folk crafts. Their collaborative efforts keep Turkey’s cultural traditions alive, passing these skills to younger generations and ensuring the continuity of intangible cultural heritage.
Day 3
On October 3, 2024, participants of the Activity traveled to Amasya. They visited the Food Technology sector at İlduş Hatun Kız Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, where students and teachers were given a tour of the facilities. Following this, they explored the museums and sights of Amasya, gaining cultural insights into the region. The day concluded with a farewell dinner featuring traditional Turkish cuisine, which shares common ground with Mediterranean dietary principles. The event wrapped up with a certification ceremony.
Day 4
On the final day of the Activity "Project Framework", a visit was made to the Science Discovery Center, where a seminar and workshop titled "Modern Technologies for Digital Education" took place. The students created holograms and DIY greenhouses, where temperature and humidity sensors with coding could be used to regulate conditions for plant growth. They also engaged in robotics using LEGO Mindstorms. Following this, at the VET school CANİK - Türk Telekom Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, the students attended the seminar "Safe on the Web" and learned about promoting vertical agriculture greenhouses. They toured the vertical greenhouse, where they planted vegetables. This greenhouse was built during a previous Erasmus+ project and is now used as a relaxation space. Vertical farming supports food self-sufficiency at home.
